Jordan (Jordo) ~ senior

I cannot believe I'm blogging my son's senior session. From a Mom's perspective this was the most difficult session I've ever done. Difficult because senior portraits are a reflection upon a very important milestone towards independence and it's surreal that Jordan will soon be graduating. It's bittersweet as I watch my oldest become a man.  When Jordan was in kindergarten he came up with his own quote, "Practice makes better, there is no such thing as perfect." As he enters his college years and adulthood I will be his biggest cheerleader as he "practices" and becomes better at whatever his goals are. As I cut the apron strings I'm proud to say he is walking away with a kind, respectful soul. I love you and am honored to be your Mom.

Khan ~ senior

We think of Khan as a member of our family. We met him when he was a few feet shorter and it's been wonderful to watch him grow into a tall, fine young man. It will be bittersweet when the boys go off to college. Khan thank you for your warm personality and friendship to Jordan, Payton and Ronaldo.

Wyatt ~ senior

Thank you Wyatt for the great session. It was cold and windy but luck was on our side while we were in the wooded area of the park, the wind was blocked and the photographs turned out awesome! Your siblings were troopers to brave the cold and get a really nice photo of the four of you. Best of luck to you in your future beyond high school and with your talented hunting skills.

Sibling love :)

Nick ~ senior

I met Nick when he was in preschool with my oldest son.  It's amazing to see them as (almost) adults. Time truly did get away from me. Nick best of luck to you. It was a pleasure watching you grow and it will be a pleasure to watch you as you  conquer your goals  beyond high school. Keep that beautiful smile!

Jacob ~ senior

Jacob was a pleasure to meet and photograph. He has a passion for music and attempted to explain some of the assignments associated with music class. His vocabulary and explanation were beyond my musical knowledge. Best of luck to you Jacob!

Cam ~ senior

Thank you Cam for having me capture this milestone in your life. It was a such a nice and humid day for your portraits, something that is hard to relate to during December in Wisconsin. You are a fine young man who will conquer your goals and go far beyond high school. Good luck to you!

I asked Cam to do this one for his Mom :) As my son will also soon graduate I can relate to Cam's mom on how we will "miss" our boys.

Anthony ~ senior

Thank you Anthony for having me capture your portraits. You are talented and have a great work ethic which will ensure a productive future. Best of luck to you! Keep us posted as you conquer your goals!

Connor ~ Senior

Thank you Connor for having me photograph your senior portraits. It was a pleasure and surreal that you are "grown up". It seems like yesterday I was capturing your elementary baseball games with Jordan(my son) and the boys. I wish you the best as you venture into the adult world. Best of luck to you and your team during your senior year as a wonderful basketball player.

Jackson & Hannah

Thank you Tracy and Mike for having me capture the little one's cuteness. Jack was a handsome little helper during our latest session and Hannah is beautiful and all grown up as she can now crawl. It won't be long and she'll be running alongside Jack, possibly chasing him :)

Jack's funny face.

I have not made Christmas cards yet and thought this would be the perfect captured moment to send out although it would confuse my family.

Hannah looks like a little model with her gorgeous headband.

Jack looks just as handsome in the headband :)

Beans or peas? Regardless it hit the spot.

Jack was eating an orange while his Mom made lunch and his Dad fed Hannah.  I saw the reflection of ambient light while speaking with Tracy and Mike and I knew I wanted to capture Jack as a silhouette. Those moments behind the backdrop and lights are also memories to document and share.

Tracy and Mike thank you for having me and have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
